Associate of Arts (DTA) Specialization in Literature
About
Begin with an Associate of Arts degree with Direct Transfer Agreement into a Bachelor program in English or related field. TCC offers the Associate of Arts (DTA) degree with a Literature Specialization. In this specialization, students choose courses from ancient to postmodern literature and from traditional to avant-garde readings.
The Associate of Arts (DTA) degree requires 90 quarter credits of General Requirements, Distribution Requirements and Electives. The public community colleges and the four-year colleges and universities of the State of Washington have an established Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA). This agreement allows students with the Associate of Arts (DTA) degree to transfer at least 90 quarter credits (60 semester credits) to four-year institutions to satisfy most or all of their general education requirements.
TCC Literary Publications
Students work closely with accomplished faculty who are published poets, novelists and nonfiction writers and collaborate on our student publications the Trillium and Una Voce.
Career Options
